Second-half surge powers Geranium City FC past UMA FC Athenas to earn third consecutive victory

MCDONOUGH, GA (June 7, 2026)
Geranium City FC continued its strong run of form with an impressive 6-2 victory over North Georgia United on Sunday evening. Following a 2-1 win over UMA FC Athenas in their previous match, Geranium City put together another high-scoring performance to secure back-to-back victories.
North Georgia United struck first in the 12th minute, taking an early 1-0 lead and carrying that advantage into halftime as Geranium City searched for an equalizer.

The home side responded immediately after the restart. In the opening moments of the second half, Annalissa Vincent capitalized on a goalkeeper spill and slotted home the rebound to level the match at 1-1.
Geranium City continued to build momentum and found the go-ahead goal in the 60th minute when Jasmine White finished a well-worked attacking move to make it 2-1.
Just seven minutes later, Mary Davis took advantage of another saved shot, reacting quickest inside the penalty area to extend the lead to 3-1 in the 67th minute.
North Georgia United answered almost immediately, pulling a goal back in the 68th minute to cut the deficit to 3-2 and briefly shift the momentum.
Geranium City responded once again through Annalissa Vincent, who scored her second goal of the night in the 73rd minute with a well-placed header to restore the two-goal advantage.
The hosts continued to press forward and were rewarded in the 84th minute when Madison Reynolds calmly converted a penalty kick to make it 5-2.
Mary Davis put the finishing touch on the performance late in the match, scoring her second goal of the evening with an excellent strike from outside the box to complete the 6- 2 victory.
The win gives Geranium City FC consecutive victories and continued momentum heading into the next round of league play. Geranium City will travel to face North Georgia United in the reverse fixture at Riverbed Park next Sunday at 4:00 PM.
