The first half was closely contested, with both sides creating opportunities but neither able to find the breakthrough, sending the match into halftime scoreless.
The Revs wasted little time after the restart. In the 50th minute, Alique Skerritt timed his run perfectly to capitalize on a UFA defensive mistake and open the scoring, giving Georgia Revolution a 1-0 lead.
Just one minute later, the Revs struck again. Alain Skerritt found the back of the net to double the advantage and put Georgia Revolution firmly in control of the match.
The Revs continued to press forward and were rewarded in the 80th minute when Ricardo Martinez calmly converted a penalty kick to make it 3-0.
Right before the final whistle, David Poku put the finishing touch on the performance. After beating two defenders, Poku hammered home a goal to seal the 4-0 victory and cap off an impressive night for the home side.
The victory sends Georgia Revolution FC into the playoffs on a high note. The Revs will host FC Columbus Elite in the opening round of the playoffs this Saturday at 7:00 PM at Old Warhawk Stadium.
