MCDONOUGH, GA (May 31, 2026)
Geranium City FC secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over UMA FC Athenas in UPSL Women’s Conference action, improving to two wins on the season.
The match opened with early attacking intent, and Geranium City struck first in the 15th minute. Emory Pitts beat her defender one-on-one down the wing before finishing with composure to give Geranium City a 1–0 lead.

UMA FC Athenas responded in the 28th minute, leveling the match with a well-taken free kick to make it 1–1. The sides went into halftime deadlocked after a competitive opening half.
Geranium City regained control shortly after the restart. In the 50th minute, Emory Pitts won possession from the defender and quickly released a shot from outside the box, catching the UMA goalkeeper off guard and restoring the lead at 2–1.
Geranium City managed the remainder of the match to secure all three points and continue building momentum early in the season.
